CHAKWAL: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that 2017 will be the year of peace and that the issue of power outages will be controlled by 2018.
“The country was mired in the swamp of darkness when we assumed power,” the premier said while delivering a speech at a public meeting here.
Expressing satisfaction on the ongoing crackdown against local and foreign terrorists, he said Operation Zarb-e-Azb has cracked the backbone of terrorists.
Prime Minster Sharif said the incumbent government has been respecting the mandate of all the parties. “We even accepted mandate of the sit-in protesters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he added.
