PCB names cricket committee; includes female representative for first time

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday named its new cricket committee, which will be headed by former Test batsman Mudassar Nazar.

For the first time, PCB has given representation to females in the cricket Committee by including former captain of Pakistan Women team Urooj Mumtaz in the committee.

Urooj represented Pakistan in 38 WODIs, 9 World T20Is and one women’s Test between 2004 and 2010.

The five-member committee also includes former cricketers Nadeem Khan and Iqbal Qasim, along with Adnan Muzaffar Ali, who is PCB’s manager for International Cricket.

The PCB has also named Domestic affairs, Audit and HR committees of the board, after approval from the board of governors of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Member BoG, Shakil Sheikh will chair the domestic affairs committee, which includes Amjad Latif (BoG member), Gul Zada (BoG member), Ali Zia (SGM Domestic Cricket) and Saqib Irfan (Manager Domestic Cricket).

Chairman of PCB’s Executive Committee Najam Sethi has been named as chairman of the HR committee. Subhan Ahmed (COO PCB), Badar Khan (CFO PCB), Brigadier Sajid Hameed (Director HR, Admin) and Zafar Mehmood (member BoG) are other members of board’s HR committee.

The audit committee will be headed by renowned banker and member of PCB’s BOG Mansoor Masood Khan. Najam Sethi, Rauf Bhatti and Badar Khan are other members of the audit committee.
