Khattak admits failure to bring 'change' in KP

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak on Sunday admitted to having failed in fulfilling promises made to the people in the province, saying "the things Imran Khan pledged to do in 90 days cannot be completed even in five years".

Speaking at a press conference here, Khattak said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman seeks completion of years of work in days. He added that even five years were not enough for the promises Khan had asked to fulfil within 90 days.

He admitted that the PTI-led provincial government could not achieve all targets in the province, saying there were several impediments in its way.

"Some people do not admit their mistakes, but we are unlike them," he added.

Imran is a leader who believes in concrete results and wants undertaken tasks to be performed in the least of time, he explained.

Shrugging off opposition by disgruntled party members, the chief minister ruled out that there was any uprising within the provincial chapter of the party.

"PTI stands united and we all would work together. There is no rebellion within the party rank and file. Groups are often formed in parties and that is an internal matter," he said.
