PM meeting: Leaders condemn anti-Pakistan statements, review NAP

ISLAMABAD: Political and military leadership slammed MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech at a high-level meeting presided by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, sources reported.

The meeting, currently underway and attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, federal and provincial ministers and intelligence agencies, also reviewed implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), sources said.

Both political and military leadership vowed to ensure Pakistan’s integrity and security at all levels.

The leaders reviewed challenges in the way of intelligence and information sharing among provinces and also discussed practicalities of providing police with the latest training available.

National Security Advisor Nasir Janjua briefed matters relating to NAP implementation, according to sources. The meeting also discussed actions to be taken against terrorist organizations working with changed names and facilitators of terrorists.
