KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chairman Farooq Sattar on Wednesday said that MQM has been divided into four parts

Speaking to party workers at MQM Pakistan's temporary centre in PIB Colony, he said, "MQM’s position was quite strong till August 22. We all think what happened on that day was wrong".

He said that Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) should also learn a lesson.

He further said that they cannot keep anyone in the party by force.

"We cannot force anyone to remain with us. It is up to them (workers)", he added.

Earlier, the leadership barred workers from listening to the address of the party founder on social media, sources told Geo News.

MQM Pakistan Rabita Committee has stressed workers should follow the policy brought forward on August 23 and those found to be in violation would have their membership suspended.

This reaction comes after a meeting presided by MQM founder was held in London to review MQM Pakistan’s decision to expel four party leaders including convener Nadeem Nusrat from the Rabita Committee.

The MQM founder said he would notify ‘loyal’ workers about the next plan of action via social media, sources told Geo News.
