Over 6,000 personnel to be deployed for Raiwind march

LAHORE: Police has prepared a security plan for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) upcoming protest march in Raiwind on September 30 (Friday), with over 6,000 personnel to be deployed for duty.

 Sources say the police has finalized a plan to provide complete protection to the protest demonstration at Adda Plot.

Police officials and PTI leaders visited the venue and examined security points, sources said.

Sources said that 11 superintendents, 23 deputy superintendents, and 50 inspectors have been assigned the responsibility to ensure safety and security for the protest.

Separately, Raiwind road would also be blocked for general public on September 30 and traffic would be diverted to alternate routes. The traffic police has also finalised an alternate route plan for this purpose.
