Courts to make decision related to Waseem Akhtar’s innocence: CM Sindh

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Sunday said that the decision related to imprisoned Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar would be made by courts and he cannot declare anyone innocent or culprit on his own.

CM Sindh was addressing media after attending the ending ceremony of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s urs.

While responding to a question he said that if anyone who is innocent would be released.

Murad said that he is working hard to improve the law and order situation in the city.

The CM said that he’s willing to work with every political party that believes in democracy.

Waseem Akhtar was sworn in as the Mayor of Karachi on August 30, along with Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra. 

Akhtar was brought in for the swearing in ceremony from the Karachi Central Jail where he is being held under remand.
