India blocks Friendship Bus Service to Lahore

LAHORE: India shut down the Friendship Bus Service which runs between Lahore and Amritsar on Friday.

Pakistan ran the bus from Lahore as per schedule. However, India did not allow a bus to leave from Amritsar, Pakistan officials said.

The situation in Pakistan is not feasible, hence the bus was not allowed to leave Amritsar, Indian officials said in a letter they wrote to Pakistan.

The bus runs between Lahore and Amritsar every Tuesday and Friday.
