In occupied Kashmir elderly woman dies at the hands of Indian forces

An elderly woman died after Indian forces pelted stones and attacked entrance gates of residential houses in the Islamabad district of occupied Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the 66-year-old woman Sara Begum suffered a cardiac arrest after Indian army personnel banged the entry gate of residential houses in the district. The husband of the deceased said their home came under attack by Indian forces at around 11:30 pm and Sara Begum was rushed to District Hospital where she was declared dead.

Since July, over 115 Kashmiris have been martyred by Indian security forces in the occupied valley.

Earlier, Kashmiri leaders strongly condemned the war euphoria created by Indian leadership and media at the Line of Control.

A statement issued by the APHC condemned Indian aggression and said unprovoked firing by Indian troops at the LoC had only worsened the situation. According to the APHC, there seemed to be a sustained campaign both on party of the Indian military and media to create a war-like situation in South Asia in an attempt to cover-up war crimes committed by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
