Pakistan overtake India for second most ODI wins

SHARJAH: After a 3-0 whitewash in T20is, Pakistan comprehensively defeated West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series by 111 runs in Sharjah on Friday.
But that’s not the only good news for the cricket-mad nation.
With the win, Pakistan have moved ahead of India and have the second most number of ODI wins for any country, behind Australia.
The green shirts have played 864 ODIs, winning 455 and losing 383. India also have one less win, however, it took them 899 matches to achieve it.
Pakistan also has the third best win percentage (54.25%) in the format only behind Australia (61.88%) and South Africa (61.43%).
Second ODI between Pakistan and West Indies would be played on Sunday on the same venue.
