India’s Air Force chief Arup Raha on Tuesday was reluctant to answer questions over his country’s claim of conducting ‘surgical strikes’ across the Line of Control (LoC).

According to Indian media reports, Arup Raha said the matter of ‘surgical strikes’ was very sensitive and he would not comment over targeted operations.

India claims to have carried out ‘surgical strikes’ across the LoC, a claim which was been dismissed by Pakistan’s political and military leadership.

The claim has also been the cause of controversy in India, as no proof has been provided, leading to questions being asked by the country’s politicians and media.

Pakistan Army after firmly denying Indian claims of surgical strikes also took independent journalists to the LoC at Baghsir, 20 kilometers from Bhimber to show the situation on ground.

DG ISPR General Asim Saleem Bajwa stressed that while Pakistan had brought journalists to the LoC and was showing them the situation on ground; India was not allowing the same access to its own people, which was suspicious.
