KARACHI: Number one Test bowler, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin wished “good luck” to Yasir Shah ahead of Pakistan’s Dubai Test, in which Yasir Shah may break Ashwin’s record of being the fastest from Asia to reach 100 Test wickets.

“Good luck, may the force be with him,” Ashwin tweeted while responding to this correspondent on Twitter in response to the news that Yasir needs 5 wickets in Dubai to surpass the Indian bowler.

Yasir Shah currently has 95 wickets in 16 Tests and needs five more in the Dubai Test to beat Ashwin’s record which he achieved in 18 Tests.

“He is such a delight to watch,” Ashwin said about Yasir’s bowling.

This is not the first time that the Indian spinner has tweeted in support of a Pakistani cricketer.

He tweeted in support of Babar Azam on October 5th, ahead of Pakistan’s third ODI against West Indies.

“Looking forward to see Babar Azam bat tonight. Hopefully we will reach Indore on time to see the game,” Ashwin had tweeted.
