PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday resonated with “Go Imran go” slogans after provincial members from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf failed to attend session.

During the session,  the Opposition members protested over the absence of PTI ministers and tore the copies of the agenda in protest.

The session was held under Deputy Speaker Mehar Taj Roghani.

The Assembly Deputy Speaker had to adjourn the session for while due to incomplete quorum.

Even after the break, the quorum failed to complete following which the Deputy Speaker adjourned the session till Monday.

The Opposition also protested over the adjournment of the session and chanted slogans of “Go Imran Go”.

Currently, Imran's ruling party in KP province has its focus centered upon its upcoming protest march in Islamabad on Nov 2.

The protest is over the party's allegations of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif being involved in the Panama Papers scandal.

Today, Imran Khan said that there would no dialogue prior to his party’s proposed Islamabad sit-in.
