DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that if a ‘third power’ came to control then the prime minister would be responsible.

The PTI chief was addressing masses in Dera Ismail Khan where he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is neither resigning nor responding to the allegations against him.

Imran Khan on the occasion also used slanderous  terms for the parties opposing his stance.

Those trying to stop us from protesting are also corrupt, says Imran Khan

Imran Khan earlier declared the opposition leaders trying to prevent his party from taking to the streets in protest as “corrupt”.

Talking to the media in Bani Gala before departing for Dera Ismail Khan, the PTI chief said that it is his right to protest as the institutions in the country have failed to deliver justice. He warned the government not to use force against his party’s scheduled sit-in in Islamabad on November 2.

“The government would lose the most if they try to stop us,” he said, adding that the Prime Minister would be to blame if a third party comes into power.

Imran Khan once again demanded resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and asked for NAB and FBR to be shut down and replaced with new institutions.

He said that if he does not take to the streets everyone would soon forget about corruption. To a question from a reporter, Imran Khan said that his party would continue peaceful protests while the Supreme Court hears the case.

He blamed the institutions for abetting in corruption, recalling that NAB, FBR and the Election Commission had said in the parliament that they could not do anything in relation to the Panama Papers issue.

Imran Khan said that the PTI’s protest is targeted at recovering corruption money from the “corrupt” politicians and transferring power to those sincere about serving the public.

“Nobody can stop us from exercising our constitutional and legal right to protest,” he added.

Earlier PTI announced a warm-up rally in Islamabad next week ahead of the November 2 sit-in.
