Samsung Galaxy Note 7 owners in Pakistan can now get the smartphone exchanged or obtain a refund from Samsung.
The Note 7 was not launched in Pakistan, but Samsung has decided to cater to customers who acquired the smartphones from abroad or from local vendors.
Customers possessing a proof purchase for their Galaxy Note 7 will be refunded the full amount mentioned on the receipt.
If there is no receipt, they will be refunded an amount of $817 USD.
Note 7 owners can also choose to exchange with Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with an additional refund of Rs10,000 in return.
The company has asked customers who pre-booked the phone to "contact the relevant retailers to get a refund".
The South Korean electronics giant moved quickly last month to suspend sales of its latest large-screen smartphone and announced a recall of 2.5 million units already sold, after faulty batteries caused some handsets to explode during charging.
