ISLAMABAD: The foreign office summoned the Deputy Indian High Commissioner and registered strong protest over repeated violation of the Line of Control and Working Boundary by India.

A statement condemning the violation was handed over to J P Singh by DG South Asia, sources said.

In the statement Pakistan strongly condemned the ceasefire violation of the LoC and Working Boundary by India.

One civilian and a young girl were martyred and at least seven civilians were wounded in unprovoked firing by Indian Border Security Force at the working boundary on Sunday night.

According to the FO spokesman Nafees Zakaria, India has violated the LoC more than 90 times this year.

On September 29, India claimed to have carried out 'surgical strikes' across the LoC in which two Pakistani soldiers were martyred. Pakistan dismissed claims of the surgical strikes. India has so far failed to provide proof of any such strikes.
