Main accused in Parveen Rehman murder case indicted

KARACHI: The main accused in the murder case of Orangi Pilot Project (OPP) Driector, Parveen Rehman was indicted on Tuesday by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).

According to police, the main accused Rahim Swati along with five accomplices had murdered Rehman in 2013.  Rahim Swati refused to accept the charges against him.

Two fugitives in the case, Noor Muhammad and Ahsanuddin have been declared absconders by the ATC.

Director OPP, Parveen Rehman was gunned down in a targeted attack near the Banaras fly-over in March 2013.

Rehman was a vocal activist working against land and water mafia in the city.
