Attack on Sindh Rangers: Personnel injured, seven terrorists neutralised

KARACHI: Six terrorists were gunned down on early Friday morning after militants ambushed paramilitary forces at Kathore Super Highway, informed Ranger`s spokesperson.

The spox said that as many as 25 Rangers` personnel were returning to Karachi from Sehwan in five vehicles when a terror group attacked them. A heavy cross-fire ensued immediately. The paramilitary forces cordoned off the area and demanded contingents from Karachi headquarters.

In the exchange of fire, one personnel were injured while six terrorists were shot dead.

The identities of the miscreants were not yet informed by the authorities, however, the deceased would be shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary forces gunned down 11 suspected terrorists in a raid conducted at Manghopeer, informed Rangers spokesperson.

Two personnel were also injured in the operation. A heavy cache of weapons was recovered from the suspects. Authorities claimed that the suspects were affiliated with a proscribed organisation.
