First polio case of 2017 surfaces in Lodhran

LAHORE: The first polio case of 2017 has surfaced from Lodhran in Punjab. The affected child is a four-month-old boy.
Although the child has been immunised four times, he contracted the disease.
Pakistan is among the only three polio-endemic countries in the world, the other two being Afghanistan and Nigeria.
