Dar contacts political leaders over military courts' extension

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Saturday contacted several political leaders regarding extension in term of military courts in the country.

Dar telephoned Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Naveed Qamar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Aftab Sherpao and Maulana Ataur Rahman on Saturday, and held consultations with them on extension of military courts.

The minister emphasised that continuity of military courts was necessary to maintain the pace of counterterrorism operations across the country.

He said that no compromise can be made on the security of the state and its people.
