Nabil Gabol rejoins PPP after four years' estrangement

KARACHI: Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement MNA Nabil Gabol on Wednesday announced to rejoin Pakistan People's Party, after nearly four years of estrangement.

Gabol had abandoned his ties with the PPP to join the MQM on March 13, 2013. Upon joining the MQM, he had said the PPP was no longer the party of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, therefore, he decided to end his 25-year-long affiliation with it.

However, it is now that Nabil Gabol announced to rejoin his old party, with his son confirming it on Twitter.

The announcement was made after his meeting with former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House this evening.

Nabil Gabol, on the occasion, expressed full confidence in the leadership of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari.

"The meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari was very good and I have formally joined People's Party," he said.

Gabol said no complaints were made at the meeting, adding that he would work for strengthening the party in Karachi, specifically in Lyari.
