Lahore blast was an accident: Forensic report

LAHORE: Police received the final forensic report for Lahore Z-Block blast on Saturday.
According to the report, the incident that claimed eight lives and left 30 injured was an accident and not an act of terrorism.
The FIR for the incident was registered at the Defence Housing Authority(DHA) Police Station.
A committee led by DIG Investigation has been tasked to investigate all aspects of the incident.
“If found guilty of negligence, responsible individuals for the DHA accident will be held accountable,” said a police representative.
Earlier on Friday, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah cited the initial forensic report to confirm that no traces of explosives were found from the site of the explosion, adding the blast was an accident and not an act of terrorism.
