Fire at Karachi dockyard extinguished

KARACHI: A fire in a godown in Karachi dockyard on Saturday was extinguished by 12 fire tenders after three hours.
According to a statement by the Pakistan Navy the accidental fire was doused by fire tenders from the city governments. No casualties were reported and the cooling process is underway.
Roads leading to Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) had been blocked for traffic while rescue work was underway.
In November, last year a fire at the terminal claimed two lives. It was doused after 34 hours.
