Motorcycle ambulance to bring aid at your door step

LAHORE: In order to provide quick aid to places where cars can’t travel, Punjab government is launching motorcycle ambulance.

The service will be initiated in next financial year and will be available in Lahore’s nine divisional headquarters, according to Rescue 1122 DG Dr Rizwan Naseer.

As many as 902 people have been recruited to provide this service to the people, according to the DG.

Moreover, the motorcycles are equipped with first-aid kits and the riders have been prepared to handle emergency situations.  

“The motorcycles have first aid kits to help us make the patients conditions stable first,” said one of the riders of the motorcycle ambulance while speaking to Geo News.

People can avail the rescue service by dialing 1122.

In Pakistan, the condition of many ambulances is quiet appalling and drivers have to go through quite a lot hassle as it is. However, this new service Punjab government  hopes to improve the deplorable condition a little.
