SC issues de-notification orders for four NAB DGs

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has issued orders for the removal of National Accountability Bureau officers who were illegally appointed as they do not meet the eligibility criteria.

The de-notification orders have been sent for the director generals of NAB posted in Karachi, Lahore and Quetta, which include NAB Karachi DG Major (retd) Shabbir Ahmed, Balochistan DG Tariq Mehmood Dawar, Lahore DG Major (retd) Burhan Ali and NAB Awareness and Prevention Director General Aliya Rasheed.

The four-member committee will comprise of the secretary and chairperson of the establishment department, the director general of human resource in NAB and member of Federal Public Service Commission.  

The reported illegal appointments of 95 officers will be dealt with by the committee. It will also look into the appointments of 102 officers, who were selected after being promoted.  The committee will submit recommendations on these officers within three months
