Asim’s bail result of deal between govt, PPP: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan Peoples Party Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were only ‘faking a battle’ and would not harm each other.

While speaking to the media at a news conference in Islamabad, Imran said Nawaz has struck a deal with corrupt politicians after which they have returned to Pakistan.

Imran was referring to model Ayyan Ali, former Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon and former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim, all of whom have been given bails despite corruption charges of hefty amounts on them.

“There are cases of Rs5 billion on Sharjeel Memon and Rs50 million on Ayyan Ali,” Imran said. “[But] a corrupt prime minister is making deals to conceal his corruption.”

He added both Zardari and Nawaz were money launderers and that the latter has got into a deal with PPP co-chairperson over the Panama case.
