Marriyum slams Imran for mistreatment of newsman at his residence

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan over the incident of mistreatment of a media person at his residence in Bani Gala.

The state minister said that Imran Khan is responsible for the incident. “Imran Khan has a mischievous and divisive mindset,” she said.

She said that Imran Khan should apologise over the incident, adding that in the past the PTI workers have misbehaved with media personnel.

She added that if the PTI chief has not done anything wrong then he shouldn’t be afraid of coming clean.

Earlier today, Imran Khan was addressing media at his residence in Bani Gala. A journalist questioned regarding land encroachments in the area and said that PTI leader Aleem Khan is also being named in the matter.

After the press conference, Aleem Khan, who was also present, allegedly took the reporter aside and asked him not to pose such questions.

The media representatives present at that time protested over which Aleem Khan reportedly got angry and misbehaved with them.
