Sources said the entire record of all the businesses owned by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family was submitted to the JIT, which also investigated officers of the SECP.

Sources said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s confessional statement regarding money laundering in the Hudaibiya Paper Mills is also part of the record.

Dar had recorded this statement before the district magistrate Lahore, Arif Nadeem, during Gen(retd) Pervez Musharraf’s presidency.

The finance minister dismissed claims of the confessional statement following Musharraf’s presidential era.

“I recorded the confessional statement under duress,” Dar had said.
