PM leaves for home after day-long visit to Saudi Arabia to talk Gulf crisis

JEDDAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left here Monday for Islamabad after a day-long visit to Saudi Arabia.

Sharif visited the Kingdom with regard to the prevailing situation between Qatar and the Gulf states.

King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz received the Prime Minister and his delegation – comprising Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and other senior officials – upon arrival at the Palace.

Earlier, as he reached Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister was greeted by Governor Makkah Khalid al-Faisal Al Saud.

During his stay in the Kingdom, Sharif had discussions with King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, the issue of terrorism, and the ongoing crisis among the Gulf states at the Royal Palace.
