Four policemen martyred in Karachi gun attack

KARACHI: Four police officials were martyred in a gun attack by unknown assailants in the metropolis's SITE area on Friday evening.
An assistant sub-inspector was among those martyred in the attack, said SP SITE Asif Ahmad.
He added the policemen had stopped at a local eatery for Iftar when three assailants on a motorcycle, with their faces covered with helmets, opened fire on them and fled.
The policemen were sitting at a table when they were shot and were not wearing their body armour.
The martyred policemen were identified as ASI Mohammad Yousaf, Constables Raja Shabbir, Khalid and Asrar.
On Saturday, Counter-Terrorism Department registered a case and started to look for the assailants with the help of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident.
