New Karachi Industrial Area fire doused after four hours

KARACHI: Even after almost four hours, the firemen are still battling the blaze at a plastic factory, located in New Karachi Industrial Area, which had erupted early Friday morning. 

Fire brigade and rescue personnel used nine fire tenders and two fire bowsers to douse the fire. 

According to sources, due to the intensity of the fire, parts of the building and its roof collapsed after burning for a considerable amount of time. Moreover, the fire had also spread to two nearby factories. 

No human casualties were reported, but the firemen managed to save eight labourers from the fire.
