LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said restoring an economy on the brink was Nawaz Sharif's crowning achievement.

Shehbaz also said that PML-N's popularity among the masses has damaged the politics of their opponents.

He further said that the welcome given to Nawaz Sharif by the people proves that he is still the people's leader.

"Opponents are scared of Nawaz's popularity among the masses," said Shehbaz and added that any political moves by PML-N's opponents can not erode the love of the people for Nawaz.

"The dharna group has sown seeds of hatred in the society," said Punjab's chief minister.

The statement from Shehbaz comes on day four of Nawaz's 'homecoming' rally. The former premier set-off from Islamabad on Wednesday with a caravan of PML-N supporters and made stops along the way, addressing and mobilising PML-N's voter base.
