LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmeen Rashid on Saturday attacked Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz’s inexperience and said she uses bullet-proof vehicles to campaign for NA-120 by-poll.

“Maryam says people should vote for her mother [in NA-120 by-poll] so that her father could be saved,” Rasheed said while taking a jibe at the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter.

Quoting PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar, Rasheed said that the former interior minister himself said that "children are only children; they cannot be accepted as leader and that that they are "non-political".

Nisar in Geo News show Jirga said that Maryam should only be considered as the daughter of Nawaz Sharif and denounced the comparisons being made between former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz.

Rashid, who is the PTI candidate for NA-120 by-poll, also criticised the ruling party for failing to equip the constituency with basic amenities.

She has also previously expressed reservations about PML-N violating code of conduct for NA-120 campaign and has asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of the violations.
