At least two left injured after car topples over near Kot Lakhpat in Lahore

At least two people were left critically injured when a car toppled over near Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore, in the wee hours of Wednesday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, both the injured were reported to be in critical condition after the accident. They were quickly shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

Earlier this week, in traffic accidents across the country, at least eight lives were lost.

On Monday, six people were killed and five others — including a child — injured in a truck-van collision on the metropolis' Malir Link Road, rescue sources said.

Authorities added that of the deceased, two expired after the accident, succumbing to their injuries on way to and after reaching the hospital, respectively.

Two children and two women were among those who died.

Other injured people are being transferred to nearby medical facilities, rescue officers added.

At least two lost their lives in Mian Channu when a mini truck smashed into a motorcycle near the Toll Plaza Monday night, rescue officials explained.

Two — including a woman — of those involved in the accident died on the spot, authorities added.
