Lt Gen Bukhari appointed Colonel Commandant of Engineers Corps

RISALPUR: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa appointed Lieutenant (Lt) General Javed Mahmood Bukhari as the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineers on Tuesday. 

In the ceremony held at the Engineers Centre in Risalpur, the COAS pinned the badges of rank. 

Lt General Javed Mahmood Bukhari received the sword of honour in his Pakistan Military Academy course. He has an extraordinary service record and contributions to the army. Lt General Bukhari has also served as both Brigade Commander and GOC SWAT.

In his address, the COAS praised the contributions of Engineers Corps towards nation building, natural calamities, and operations.

“Engineers Corps has much to take pride in its contributions towards defence and development of the motherland,” the COAS said.
