KARACHI: Members of opposition parties in the Sindh Assembly will table a no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza for her "uncooperative attitude".

The motion will be tabled by parliamentary leaders from opposition parties, including, PML-F, PTI and PML-N, on Tuesday.

The opposition contends that the speaker does not listen to their questions and concerns, doesn’t allow them to speak on the agenda, while all questions from the treasury members are included.

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional Nusrat Seher Abbasi said Raza’s behaviour with her is particularly unpleasant.

Seher, while talking to Geo News, said that the deputy speaker passes uncalled for comments and sometimes switches off their mics.

"The treasury members can go on and on though," she said.

The PML-F MPA said that it is unfortunate such treatment is meted out to MPAs, especially those who raise important issues in the assembly.

She also added that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan has refused to join the move to send the motion.
