KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday said they will provide all record sought by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating the money-laundering case.

Speaking to the media in Karachi, Shah said, “We will provide all records to JIT that is sought as per the law and will not hide anything from them."

"Two days ago, the JIT told the Supreme Court that the Sindh government was not cooperating in the probe in alleged mega laundering through fake bank accounts. It is not the Sindh governor’s job to submit documents,” he asserted.

The provincial chief minister further said, “I have spoken to the chief secretary and have asked the administration for information regarding this.”

Earlier this month, the JIT wrote a letter to the Sindh government and sought records for the past 10 years of bank accounts owned by the provincial government.

Pakistan Quarters' eviction

On the subject of the eviction notices being handed to the residents of Pakistan Quarters, the Sindh CM said, “The Pakistan Quarters issue is a federal issue.”

“The land of the Pakistan Quarters belongs to the federal government and not the Sindh government," he said while adding, “We have asked the authorities to take a step back to maintain peace in the area.”

Shah offers job to PTI's Vawda

Offering the Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vadwa another job, the chief minister said, “I am offering Faisal Vadwa the job of a valve man once again.”

“Opening and closing the valve is someone else’s job and Vadwa had said he is good at that, if there is a vacancy at the Water Board and he fulfills the criteria, he will be offered a job there,” he added.
