PM Imran meets Russian counterpart in Shanghai

SHANGHAI: Prime Minister Imran Khan met his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, in Shanghai on Monday and invited him to visit Islamabad.

Earlier today, PM Imran, who is on his first official visit to China since assuming charge as the country’s premier, addressed the opening ceremony of International Import Expo in Shanghai.

According to sources, the premier met his Russian counterpart on the sidelines of the conference.

Medvedev congratulated PM Imran on assuming charge of the country, sources said.

The two leaders agreed on strengthening bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between Russia and Pakistan.

PM Imran invited the Russian premier to visit Islamabad, the sources further said.
