Fakhar Zaman terms Qalandars' player development program 'phenomenal'

KARACHI: Pakistan’s flamboyant opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has termed Lahore Qalandars player development program "phenomenal", saying he is proud to be a part of the Pakistan Super League franchise that’s working so hard on grass-root level.

“I am glad that Qalandars have retained me for the next edition of Pakistan Super League,” he said in a video message shared with Geo.tv

“Lahore is the heart of Pakistan and its truly an honor for me to be associated with this franchise because they have done so much work at the grass-root level, something which was never seen before anywhere in the world.”

The management of Lahore Qalandars announced Tuesday to retain Zaman as its Platinum category player for the 4th edition of the PSL. He also thanked the fans who have supported the team unconditionally and promised for a better show.

“I want to thank the fans who have been supporting us from day one and I promise that we will not let them down this time,” Zaman said.
