Sindh govt issues new notification regarding pillion riding ban

KARACHI: The Sindh government has issued a new notification regarding the ban on pillion riding in the Sindh province.

The new notification released by the Sindh Home Department, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) will be in effect in the province from 10th Rabiul Awwal till 13th (November 19th to 22nd).

According to the notification,“use of loudspeakers, pillion riding, carrying or possessing or playing of provocative audio, video cassettes and material containing provocative speeches and inciting sectarian hatred and the assembly of five or more persons except for Chup Tazia Juloos and rallies and gatherings to be held in connection with Eid Miladun Nabi.”

Previously the Sindh government had imposed a 10-day ban on pillion riding in Sindh.
