Twitter suspends Punjab CM spokesperson Shahbaz Gill's account

ISLAMABAD: The social media platform Twitter on Saturday suspended the account of Punjab Chief Minister Spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill over violation of rules.

Dr Gill had nearly 48,000 followers on his account.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson maintained that his account was suspended after being hacked by an unknown individual/group, adding that the hacker(s) changed the account's password.

Earlier, the Twitter administration had suspended the account of far-right Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan leader Khadim Hussain Rizvi, on the request of the government of Pakistan.
