Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar to visit Karachi for a conference on poet Kaifi Azmi

Bollywood star couple Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar are set to visit Karachi to attend a conference being scheduled in honour of Azmi's father, the proclaimed Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi.
The conference will be held from February 23 to 24 at the Arts Council of Karachi,
The visas of the Indian speakers should be processed soon.
Azmi and Akhtar, earlier, attended the Faiz Festival in Lahore last year, where they said they were indebted to the welcome given by the people of Pakistan.
Akhtar said they brought the message of peace and love from across the border.”, they had said.
Azmi also expressed her desire for peace between Pakistan and India, and thanked the citizens of Lahore for inviting them. She said the neighbouring countries should increase people-to-people contact.
