RAJANPUR: Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch his health card scheme in Rajanpur today (Friday).

According to Radio Pakistan, 800,000 people of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Muzaffargarh districts will be provided health cards by the end of next month.

At least 7.2 million residents of the 36 districts of Punjab will also get health cards by the end of 2019, according to provincial Health Minister Yasmin Rashid.

Earlier this month, PM Imran launched the Sehat Insaf Card in Islamabad. Under the Sehat Insaf Card scheme, free healthcare worth Rs720,000 will be provided annually to each deserving family.

Stating that the health cards will alleviate poverty, PM Imran said, "We want to aid and safeguard the poor segments of the society by issuing health cards."
