SHARJAH: It was another exhilarating evening for fast bowler Hasan Ali at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday as he took his third four-fer in the ongoing fourth edition of Pakistan Super League.

Ali finished with 4-17 as his side Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 5 wickets. He has now 15 wickets in 5 games at an average of 7.06.

Talking to Geo after his second man of the match award of PSL4, Ali said that sticking to his basics has helped him take wickets in the tournament.

“I’m sticking to my basics and bowling on good line which is helping me getting wickets here. It’s all about bowling according to plan and situation otherwise wickets in T20s usually support the batsmen,” Ali told Geo.

“It’s good that I am in good form and rhythm. So far i am happy with my performance,” he added.

Ali said that every wicket and every game is important for him as he’s preparing for the World Cup.

According to the 24-year-old fast bowler, performing at any level gives him confidence.

“I have enjoyed every single wicket so far, every wicket is important. With World Cup just months away, it is very important for me to gain maximum confidence by performing well in this league,” he said.

“Performing at any level gives you confidence, even if you’re playing on street,” he highlighted.

Replying to a question, Hasan Ali said that he doesn’t have any personal target other than making his team win the Pakistan Super League.

Ali, who’s among the players who came into limelight through the league, stated that the key behind his side’s success is the unity.

“Unity is the main factor behind Zalmi’s success. Management always supports us regardless of what the results are, we won or we lose. They always keep motivating us,” Hassan concluded.
