Army conducts rescue operations in Balochistan’s flood-hit areas

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have been mobilised to assist the civil administration in rescue and relief operations for flood victims in various parts of Balochistan, said Inter-Services Public Relations.

According to army’s media cell, army aviation helicopters are busy in rescuing stranded people to safer places. The relief camps are established in Makran, Lasbela and snow covered areas of northern Balochistan.

Approximately 1,500 families have been rescued in Dureji (Lasbela) and Qillah Abdulla areas and rations have been provided to 3,500 families in rain effected areas.

The ISPR said that Pakistan army doctors and paramedics providing first aid medical assistance and medicines.

Stranded vehicles at Khojak pass, Lak pass and Shela Bagh areas have been rescued by security forces, said the ISPR.
