LAHORE: Another woman came forward on Tuesday in Lahore alleging that she has been tortured and abused by her husband.

According to the first information report (FIR) registered, the woman, who identified as Sonia, alleged that her husband would lock her up in a room and beat her up.

She further said her husband threatened to kill her and injured her by poking his fingers into her eyes.

The case against the husband has been registered in Green Town police station.

Police said that the suspect is on the run and will be apprehended soon.

The recent case of abuse comes after two women Asma Aziz and Hajra alleged that they had been tortured by their husbands. Last week, the police arrested Asma's husband for shaving off her head when she refused to dance for his friends.

The police later arrested Hajra's husband for allegedly torturing his wife for not bringing money from her parents.
