FIR filed against Karachi hospital for administering wrong dosage of medicine to infant

KARACHI: A private hospital administered wrong medicine to a nine-month-old baby here in the metropolis on Sunday, with the infant's father filing a First Information Report (FIR) at the Shahrah-e-Faisal police station.

Bilal Ghaffar, a member of the Sindh Assembly (MPA) associated with the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accompanied the little girl's father to the police station to register the FIR, which named the hospital administration as the culprit.

High dosage of medicine was administered to Nishwa, the baby, worsening her condition, the FIR reads. It added that the hospital administration has acknowledged its mistake.
