Encroachment outside over 200 shops in Karachi's PECHS, surroundings cleared: official

KARACHI: The city's municipal services body cleared away encroachment from outside more than 200 shops here in the city's PECHS area in an operation carried out Thursday night, an official confirmed.

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) conducted the anti-encroachment operation in the Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS) and surrounding areas, including Tariq Road and Al-Falah Market.

According to reports, police, Rangers, and the city's deputy commissioner were present during the anti-encroachment operation.

The deputy director confirmed the removal of encroachment from outside over 200 retail outlets, eateries, and other stores in the locality.
