England captain Eoin Morgan has weighed and given his expectations from teams taking part in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

“Pakistan are probably one of the more unpredictable sides around the world. But when it comes to a world event they perform consistently well,” Morgan said in a video published on the official Cricket World Cup website.

Speaking on arch-rivals Australia, Eoin Morgan said the Aussies are always ready when the World Cup comes around. “They [Australia] are current World Cup champions so expect them to be strong contenders.”

Morgan said Afghanistan are a talented side and should not be underestimated. “Afghanistan are a side that will come into the tournament and upset a lot of teams.”

He didn’t have much to say about India except that the side had a strong chance. Morgan said the same about his team England.

Morgan termed Bangladesh a tight-knit group that should not be underestimated throughout the tournament.

“Sri Lanka are a team that probably won’t go into the tournament as the second or third favourites. They will certainly be challenged throughout but not ones to be taken lightly.”

Eoin Morgan believes that South Africa have a strong chance after playing well recently.

“West Indies have an outside chance. Extremely competitive and have a lot of match winners within their team.”

On the 2015 finalists New Zealand, Eoin Morgan said the team had gone from strength to strength and should not be underestimated.
