19 suspects arrested during operation in Karachi's Korangi: police

KARACHI: At least 19 suspects were arrested Friday night during a search operation carried out here in the city's Korangi area, police confirmed.

According to senior superintendent of police (SSP) for Korangi, the entry and exit points of the areas, including Awami Colony Sector 9 and Bengali Para, were sealed while the operation was being conducted.

The police official said questioning and investigation of the 19 arrested suspects were underway.

The documents of suspected individuals were also verified during the operation, the SSP added.
